Editorial policy

How GetCalcMaster creates, reviews, and updates calculation + unit-conversion guidance.

Principles

  • Clarity first: explain assumptions, show units, and keep steps reproducible.
  • Unit safety: promote dimensional analysis and sanity checks as default practice.
  • Source-aware: when a claim depends on an external reference (constants, definitions, standards), we prefer authoritative sources.
  • Change transparency: guides include a “Last updated” date and we maintain an update log.

How guides are written

  • Each guide is drafted to be usable without prior context.
  • Examples are chosen to be realistic (not toy-only), with units shown explicitly.
  • We include verification steps (sanity checks, alternate paths, order-of-magnitude checks).

Review + updates

  • Corrections: If something is unclear or incorrect, report it via the Contact page. We prioritize factual errors and misleading phrasing.
  • Update cadence: We refresh guides when tools change, when we find a clearer approach, or when users report issues.
  • Update log: See the rolling list at /learn/updates.
